Exuberant, Full

These pulses have strength and liveliness and are the opposite of Weak.  They illustrate that Yang Qi is plentiful.  Healthy children have Exuberant pulses.  Sometimes the word Full is used to indicate a lot of sensation in the pulse implying excess Yang.  Classically these pulses were sometimes called Big or Wide.  Today we don’t use these terms much; we simply use the term Full.  The term Big means the vessel is very dilated, an excessive version of Full.

Feels like: Full or Exuberant pulses feel round and relaxed, coming up to meet your finger with an abundance of Qi.  These pulses give you confidence that there is adequate mediumship and that the associated organs are strong.
