    Hi Armin,

I like that you actually DID the movement! Not sure why I didn’t think of that lol!
Yes, my mind keeps coming back to the shao yang being on rotation with straight limb / torso (just been listening to a JY sinew channels lecture actually) so that would suggest rotation with bent torso must be shao yin. Apart from anything else though, it’s so good to have these types of conversations in order to learn.
Think I might go and actually do these movements and feel it for myself.

    Cheers for now 🙂

    Hi Antoine,
I think that’s a great idea. I did watch the video again this morning but still not totally clear about this specific movement lol (although I suspect that Armin is right as there is no crossing the midline). It also got me wondering about external rotation with bent limb – shao yang? I have been treating any pain with rotation of bent limb as shao yang up to this point… Poor Ann, it must never end for her!
I haven’t signed up the the chat yet as the timing is out for me to get involved in real time but I intend on joining soon to watch all the previous episodes.

    Really enjoying this forum though.

    All the best

Thank you both so much for your input. I myself was of the understanding that rotation of the spine whilst seated is leg shao yin and shao yang was rotation whilst upright/extended but perhaps this needs ammended? I was assuming that the part of the leg shao yin channel along the inside of the spine was to facilitate this seated rotation but the idea that shao yin is crossing the midline makes sense too. I need to re-watch Ann’s video but my old dusty laptop doesn’t like those videos for some reason lol. Will steal my wife’s ipad….

Anyway, I now have a good sense of things for either way of working and really grateful for the feedback – it’s these wee details that sit in my mind and bug me.

My wife and I have been having the same discussions. Unfortunately, I don’t feel I know enough of the classical system to really add to this thread but I would LOVE to read a discussion on this or for Ann to maybe run a class on the theory of vaccines from different channel system perspectives…I am enjoying thinking it through myself but would love a more experienced and learned viewpoint!
I do believe that everything has a cost though and it would seem to me that vaccines give the body no alternative but to keep the injected information/pathogen latent thereby forcing the divergent (or perhaps the luos first as it is injected into the ying level?) channels to act.

Thank you for starting this thread Doris

Thank you Antoine, that’s very useful yes. I was thinking along the same lines. He’s doing really good with the addiction at the moment and we’re hoping to get more to the root of the reason for his addiction. I agree there is a link between this pulse finding.
    Many thanks

    Hello Antoine,
Thank you so much for your reply and a thousand apologies for not replying sooner – I have only been checking for updates via the main page on the forum and didn’t realise you had replied. I have had a better look at how the forum works now so I don’t make that mistake again.

Your response makes a lot of sense (both theoretically and in my experience in clinic) so thank you!

    Cheers 🙂

    Hi Anna,

I like your thinking so far and although I may not be answering your inquiry directly I thought I would share my thoughts – for what they are worth. With the connection between the teeth and jing, it may be possible that the operation has freed some latent pathogenic factor (the teeth being a storage site) which the body now has to contend with. As the problems return after treatment, it could be that there isn’t enough fluids to keep the pathogen latent.
The 3rd confluence springs to mind as it connects with all the sensory organs but I guess the pulses are a better way of assessing that. With the sinew pulses being active it certainly suggests that they are trying to deal with something but possibly don’t have the resources to push it out.
My understanding of the luo channels is even more basic than my divergents so I can’t comment too much on that I’m afraid.
I hope that at least adds something to your thinking.
    Best
    Paul
