I read about the transfer of pathology from one Luo channel to the yin-yang pair’s source point and potentially to that organ in Ann’s advanced acupuncture book. Is it possible for pathology in one Luo channel to transfer to the yin-yang pair and create an emptied Luo pattern there?

In a broader scope, is it possible for Luo pathology to trigger other Luo pathology, or to SOMEHOW spread to Luo channels outside the yin-yang pair? It is interesting to me that many people with spider veins don’t just have one channel affected, but multiple, and sometimes many – while other people will have no significant visible Luo-Type signs. The feel I get from my reading is that pathology trapped in the Luo’s goes from longitudinal to transverse, transverse to opposite yin-yang pair source point (or to internal organ), opposite yin-yang pair to organ, and not really elsewhere. But page 112 did talk about a “theoretical order” to the Luos which made me wonder if it’s not cut and dried.

Thank you everyone so much for helping me understand this fascinating system!

The longitudinal Luo’s can be viewed through a psychosocial lens. The progression starts at
    Survival- Lu, LI, St, So
    Then onto
    Interaction- Ht, SI, BL, Kid
    Differentiation- Pc, SJ, GB, Liv

Where Lung is the first in the sequence and Liver the last, you could view that as most superficial to deepest in terms of psychological illness. I think this might ne the theoretical progression you mentioned. The way I’ve interpreted the progression is, as disconnection to spirit deepens, other luo then become affected as the body tries to protect itself from the emotional pathology.
I suppose also, that nothing occurs in isolation, say if you’re personal boundaries are compromised that will affect you in many ways on many levels, so impacting several luo channels
