I’ve been meaning to write this for days.

I attended the “London ” lecture via zoom and wanted to thank you all for making it happen. Not only did it occur, it turned out to be really lovely to be a part of. How strange and wonderful that dozens of people could come together from around the world into your living room via technology and somehow it was more intimate than a London lecture hall! The generosity of your whole family was clearly evident. I came away with so much gratitude and inspiration.

Andrews insights were timely. I had given up on nutrition advice due to the almost religious fervor it causes. And the amount of misinformation out there due to political and profit motives. However, his compassionate and thoughtful approach made me think and re-engage my enthusiasm for food. In fact, I had, for years, struggled with the “when you are thirsty you are already dehydrated” topic. So, a huge ‘thank you ‘ for sorting that out!

Your family is beautiful. I have a 17 year old son (who is also enjoying not shaving at the moment) and a 16 year old daughter who prefers not to step in front of the camera. I smiled a lot seeing your lovely young people. Thank them for me. I think they are wonderful.

I also wanted to thank you, Ann, for amazing teaching and your blog pieces. I’ve been practicing for 11 years and have consistently been told that to have a busy practice I need to get people to come in regularly. I always insisted I need people to get better. I was beginning to think I was just being naive and that I had to treat acupuncture as a business and let go of my principles. Your blog where you mentioned the goal of getting people better made me sigh with heartfelt gratitude. The learning is long, mind bending, and exciting. I’m enjoying being an enthusiastic student again.

    Thank you!

    Liz,
Andrew and I just read your message. Thank you so much for a heart-felt letter. We couldn’t agree with you more.
And it was great to have you in the class. I hope your children are doing well in the lockdown. Teenage years are challenging enough!
    Very warmly,
    Ann (and Andrew)
