Song Dynasty practice

Wang Shu He’s Pulse book dominated until the Ming Dynasty when Li Shi Zhen (1518-1593) published his book on Pulse Diagnosis, co-authored with his father.  However, by that time the use of the Sinew, Luo and Divergent Channels had gone into decline and only the Primary Channels and the Eight Extraordinary Channels were in use.  Therefore Li Shi Zhen’s book was based on Zang Fu, not the complete channel system, and focused mainly on 27 static pulses.  At that point dynamic pulses effectively disappeared.
