Spoken of organs, channels,
Emotions, and insults,
And their natural consequences:
This brings
An involuntary
Sigh of relief
After thousands of miles
With an awkward load
Strapped on,
Blisters,
Thirst,
Blocked passage after
Blocked passage,
Weariness
Beyond telling:
And then,
To learn
There is a way
Of being in emotion that
Remains innate, unsullied,
And available now for
Redemption:
How can I
Express the
Unbounded wonder,
The awe?
The return
Of order,
Trust,
Belief in
Happy endings?
If I laugh out loud,
Please forgive me.
Astonishment
Takes many forms.
